Query any OData entity set

exaktime_query_odata
Read-only

Read-only OData query over any Arcoro data warehouse entity set, for questions the other tools do not cover (equipment, expenses, users, time records by hour group, learning, performance, recruiting, benefits...). Entity sets start with Dw, e.g. DwUsers, DwEquipments, DwExpenses, DwCostCodes, DwLocations, DwTimeRecordByHourGroups, DwEmploymentStatusHistories. Full list: https://my.arcoro.com/api/odata ; schema: https://api.arcoro.com/odata/$metadata. $filter uses OData v4 syntax, e.g. startswith(LastName,'Sm') and IsActive eq true. Source: the read-only OData data warehouse, refreshed nightly, so today's entries may not show until tomorrow. Page with skip/next_skip. GET /odata/{EntitySet}.

Input Schema

TDQS

A4.6/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover read-only/non-destructive/open-world, and the description adds genuinely new behavioral context: the source is a nightly-refreshed warehouse so today's entries may be absent, paging is done via skip/next_skip, and the call maps to GET /odata/{EntitySet}. The freshness caveat is exactly the kind of information an agent cannot get from annotations or schema.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the core purpose and the routing rule, then progressively more detail (entity naming, filter syntax, freshness, paging). Slightly padded by the '(...learning, performance, recruiting, benefits...)' enumeration and two raw URLs, but no sentence is genuinely wasted.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

No output schema exists, yet the description covers what an agent needs to call correctly: valid entity-set naming, filter dialect with an example, pagination mechanics, and the freshness limitation that affects result interpretation. Nothing material is missing for a 6-parameter generic query tool.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so baseline is 3; the description goes beyond it by giving OData v4 $filter syntax with a worked example (startswith(LastName,'Sm') and IsActive eq true), the Dw prefix convention for entity_set, and links to the entity-set list and $metadata schema. It adds real meaning for the trickiest parameter rather than restating field docs.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Read-only OData query over any Arcoro data warehouse entity set') plus its scope, and explicitly distinguishes it from the sibling tools by positioning it as the catch-all 'for questions the other tools do not cover'. An agent can tell immediately this is the generic escape hatch versus the typed list_/get_ tools.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives clear selection context ('questions the other tools do not cover') and enumerates the domain areas and concrete entity set names (DwUsers, DwEquipments, DwExpenses...) so the agent knows what belongs here. It stops short of naming specific siblings to prefer for common cases (e.g. 'use list_employees for basic employee lists'), which is why it isn't a 5.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
