Pre-register people

eventee_register_people
Destructive

WRITE: pre-register up to 100 people for the event (an existing registration with the same email is updated, not duplicated). With send_email=true Eventee SENDS A REGISTRATION EMAIL to every person listed (default false: no email); sending needs confirm: true (without it: a preview, nothing sent or registered). Invalid entries are skipped silently by Eventee, so re-read eventee_list_registrations to confirm. PUT /public/api/v1/registration/invite.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
confirmNoRequired (true) only with send_email=true. Without it nothing is sent or registered and a preview is returned; ask the user to approve the recipients first.
group_idNoDefault attendee group for people without their own group_id (eventee_list_groups).
send_emailNoSend each person the registration email. Default false. Needs confirm: true.
registrationsYesThe people to register (1-100).

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already flag destructive/openWorld, and the description adds real substance beyond them: upsert semantics, the email side effect and its default, the confirm gate that downgrades the call to a read-only preview, and the fact that invalid entries are silently skipped. That last point is a critical behavioral trait an agent cannot infer from the schema.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with a 'WRITE:' marker, then the limit, then the side-effect rules in descending importance, ending with the verification hint and endpoint. Dense but every clause carries decision-relevant information.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description correctly explains what comes back in the no-confirm case (a preview, nothing sent or registered). For a destructive batch-write tool with a side-effecting email path, nothing an agent needs to call it safely is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description adds cross-parameter meaning the schema does not: the confirm/send_email dependency and the group_id-as-default relationship. The endpoint reference is also useful for debugging.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('pre-register up to 100 people for the event') plus the crucial upsert nuance (existing email is updated, not duplicated). It does not, however, distinguish itself from the sibling eventee_invite_attendees, which an agent could easily confuse with this tool.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives clear operational conditions: send_email defaults to false, requires confirm: true, and without confirm you get a preview only; it also tells the agent to re-read eventee_list_registrations to verify. Missing is any guidance on when to pick this over eventee_invite_attendees.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
