The description adds value by enumerating specific returned properties (band gap, formation energy, crystal structure, etc.) and confirming the data source (Materials Project, 150K+ materials), which goes beyond what annotations provide.
Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.
