Token Traders Activity

get-token-trader-activity
Read-onlyIdempotent

Token Traders Activity. Calls only GET /v4/tokens/{mintAddress}/trader-activity and returns that response. Solana API endpoint for fetching token trader activity. Track buy and sell volumes, PnL (profits/losses) and win/loss to identify active traders and whales.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
pageNoPage number to return (zero-indexed). Defaults to 0.
limitNoMaximum number of traders to return. Defaults to 1000.
sortByAscNoSort ascending by 'buyVolumeUsd', 'sellVolumeUsd', 'buyCount', 'sellCount', or 'traderAddress'. If omitted, no sorting is applied. Only one of `sortByAsc` or `sortByDesc` can be used.
buyCountGtNoOnly include traders with more than this many buy trades (exclusive). For example, `buyCountGt=5` returns traders with 6+ buys. If omitted, no minimum buy count filter is applied.
resolutionNoRepresents the supported time-window resolutions for account/PnL queries.
sortByDescNoSort descending by 'buyVolumeUsd', 'sellVolumeUsd', 'buyCount', 'sellCount', or 'traderAddress'. If omitted, no sorting is applied. Only one of `sortByAsc` or `sortByDesc` can be used.
buyVolumeGtNoOnly include traders with buy volume greater than this value (exclusive, in token amount). If omitted, no minimum buy volume filter is applied.
mintAddressYesTyped Solana public key identifier used across request parameters and response fields. Path parameter for /v4/tokens/{mintAddress}/trader-activity.
sellCountGtNoOnly include traders with more than this many sell trades (exclusive). If omitted, no minimum sell count filter is applied.
sellVolumeGtNoOnly include traders with sell volume greater than this value (exclusive, in token amount). If omitted, no minimum sell volume filter is applied.

TDQS

B3.1/5.0
Behavior3/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint, idempotentHint, openWorldHint and destructiveHint=false, so the safety profile is covered. The description adds the concrete endpoint contract and the shape of the returned metrics, but says nothing about pagination caps (limit defaults to 1000), rate limits, or freshness of the PnL window.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The first sentence merely repeats the title, and the third sentence restates the second ('returns that response' / 'endpoint for fetching token trader activity'). The valuable content (endpoint path, returned metrics) is there but padded by redundant framing.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

An output schema exists and the input schema is fully documented, so the description needn't explain return values — and it doesn't overreach. However, for a tool with 10 parameters and several near-duplicate siblings, it lacks the disambiguation an agent needs to route correctly.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% and every parameter already carries a detailed description, including the mutual exclusivity of sortByAsc/sortByDesc and the meaning of the *Gt filters. The description adds no parameter-level information beyond that, which is the expected baseline when the schema does the work.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('fetching token trader activity') and pins the exact endpoint GET /v4/tokens/{mintAddress}/trader-activity, plus names the metrics returned (buy/sell volume, PnL, win/loss). It does not distinguish itself from close siblings like get-token-top-pnl-traders or list-top-traders, which makes the boundary less crisp.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines2/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The only usage signal is the loose framing 'identify active traders and whales'. There is no explicit when-to-use/when-not, and no mention of the obviously competing siblings (get-token-top-pnl-traders, list-top-traders, get-token-top-holders) that an agent would need to choose between.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
