Update LinkedIn Targeting
update_linkedin_campaign_targetingUpdates a LinkedIn campaign's targeting (job title, function, seniority, industry, skill, company size, geography). Each parameter is a comma-separated list of URNs — found via linkedin_targeting_search (facet=titles/industries/skills/seniorities/employers...). If geo_urns is empty, country ('TR','US'...) is used. At least one location is required. LOCATION MODE: location_mode='permanent' targets only members whose PROFILE (permanent) location matches (facet profileLocations); location_mode='recent_and_permanent' (LinkedIn default) also includes recent/IP locations (facet locations). Leave EMPTY to keep the campaign's current location mode. Switching mode keeps the existing locations if geo_urns is empty. AUDIENCE LANGUAGE: audience_language sets the members' LinkedIn interface language (facet interfaceLocales) on the campaign — short code ('de','en','fr','es','tr'…) or full 'xx_XX'; empty=unchanged. This DOES change existing campaigns (the old language arg only applied when building targeting from scratch). EXCLUSIONS: every facet can be excluded — exclude_geo_urns (locations), exclude_industry_urns (industries — keep e.g. Legal Services / Education out), exclude_employer_urns (specific companies, urn:li:organization:...), exclude_title_urns, exclude_function_urns, exclude_seniority_urns, exclude_skill_urns, exclude_staff_count_urns. This MERGES: only the facets you pass are changed; everything else on the campaign (other excluded employers/industries/audiences, matched audiences, ad sizes, locales) is PRESERVED. confirm=false returns a preview that includes current_targeting, new_targeting, will_change and will_preserve — use it to READ the campaign's current targeting safely. Size URNs contain commas (urn:li:staffCountRange:(201,500)) and are parsed correctly.
MATCHED AUDIENCES (retargeting / ABM): include_audience_urns adds matched audiences as an inclusion, exclude_audience_urns excludes them (e.g. suppress existing customers) — comma-separated 'urn:li:adSegment:...' values from list_linkedin_audiences. Only audiences with usable_for_targeting=true work: an ARCHIVED or EXPIRED audience resolves to 0 members and the ad set stops delivering. Check the resulting size with linkedin_audience_forecast before going ACTIVE.
REMOVING A FACET: an empty parameter means 'leave unchanged', so to DELETE a facet pass the word none — e.g. exclude_audience_urns='none' drops the audience exclusion, industry_urns='none' drops the industry targeting. Works for every include and exclude_* parameter except geo_urns (a location is always required; replace it instead).
