Approve a project's Style Sheet

approve_design_sheet
Idempotent

Requires an approved AlertForge account connection. OAuth-aware clients should start AlertForge's secure authorization flow and ask the user only to sign in and approve. Setup: https://alertforge.ai/ai-agents#agent-setup. Records the user's approval of a rendered Style Sheet -- call this ONLY after the user has actually seen the image from get_pack_status's designPackage.imageUrl and said they like it. This is the server-side gate: plan_overlay_pack refuses to plan any scene on this project until approve_design_sheet has been called successfully. Fails if the Style Sheet hasn't finished rendering yet -- poll get_pack_status until designPackage.status is "ready" first. Safe to call again on an already-approved project (returns the same approval, does not re-approve or error).

TDQS

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Adds substantial context beyond annotations: it is the server-side gate that blocks plan_overlay_pack, it fails on unrendered sheets, and it needs an authorized AlertForge account. The repeat-call behavior ('returns the same approval, does not re-approve or error') restates the idempotentHint already present, so that sentence adds little, but the gate and failure semantics are genuinely new.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Every sentence carries actionable content, but it opens with the account/setup preamble before stating what the tool does, pushing the core purpose behind auth logistics. The setup URL is necessary yet consumes front-loaded space.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a one-parameter mutation gated on rendering and user consent, the description covers auth, precondition, failure mode, downstream effect on plan_overlay_pack, and idempotency. No output schema exists but the return is described as the same approval, which suffices.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Single parameter with 100% schema coverage, so the baseline is 3. The description only implies provenance ('projectId returned by create_design_sheet'), which the schema already states, and adds no format or validation detail.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Records the user's approval of a rendered Style Sheet') and distinguishes itself from get_pack_status (rendering check) and plan_overlay_pack (consumer of the approval). An agent can place this tool in the workflow without opening any sibling schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly says to call it ONLY after the user has seen designPackage.imageUrl from get_pack_status and expressed approval, and tells the agent to poll get_pack_status until designPackage.status is "ready" first. Both the when and the not-yet cases are named with the responsible alternative tool.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
