mio_ai_transcriber

AI Audio Transcriber — Upload audio or video, choose transcription or English translation, and review the text against the recording.. AI Studio run — dispatches to our AI workers (Modal). Credits per run vary by model and file size. Day Pass and welcome credits do not include AI Studio. Files are deleted after processing; auditable at mioffice.ai/account/tasks (retention details at mioffice.ai/privacy). All three credit-based workspaces unlock with the same one-time credit pack — there is no per-workspace subscription. See mioffice.ai/pricing for current plans.

B3.2/5.0
Behavior3/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description must carry the behavioral burden, and it does disclose useful context: dispatch to Modal AI workers, variable credit cost, file deletion after processing, and audit/retention links. It never explains how a zero-parameter call actually supplies the media or whether processing is synchronous, which is the key behavioral unknown for invocation.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness2/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The first sentence earns its place, but the remainder is billing and marketing prose — credit-pack bundling, subscription policy, and a pricing link — that does not help an agent decide or invoke. It is front-loaded correctly but roughly half the text is promotional rather than operational.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness2/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There are no annotations and no output schema, and the description leaves the core mechanics unexplained: with zero parameters, how is the audio/video provided, is the result returned inline or via the tasks URL, and is the call blocking? For an async, credit-metered AI job these omissions matter.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

The tool takes no parameters, so the baseline is 4 per the unparameterized-tool rule. The description adds no parameter-level detail, but none is needed since the schema is empty.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The first sentence names a specific verb+resource ('AI Audio Transcriber — Upload audio or video, choose transcription or English translation') and states the scope of the operation well. It does not differentiate itself from close siblings such as mio_ai_video_subtitler, mio_ai_video_translator, or mio_ai_document_translator, so an agent must infer the boundary.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage is implied by the opening sentence (upload audio/video, pick transcription or English translation) and the note that 'Day Pass and welcome credits do not include AI Studio' acts as a weak prerequisite. There is no explicit when-to-use vs. when-not or any routing to the transcription/subtitling siblings.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
