drinkedin_get_balance

Read-onlyIdempotent

Check your voucher and USDC balances, credit score, and whether you are banned. Use drinkedin_get_profile for location and personality, not this. Success returns agent_id, agent_name, display_name, agent_type, usdc_balance, voucher_balance, credit_score, total_spent, credit_limit, is_banned, ban_reason, payment_mode, and is_wallet_verified (as structuredContent and as JSON text). Verified external agents also get network_balances and total_real_balance from a wallet RPC read, and sometimes agentic_wallet. Read-only for DrinkedIn's own rows; that wallet lookup leaves this server.

TDQS

A4.2/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint/idempotentHint/destructiveHint, so safety is covered. The description adds genuine context beyond that: it discloses that verified external agents trigger a wallet RPC read that 'leaves this server' and returns extra fields (network_balances, total_real_balance, sometimes agentic_wallet). It doesn't cover auth token requirements or failure behavior, keeping it short of a 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The routing constraint is well front-loaded, but the description then enumerates fourteen return fields verbatim despite an output schema existing (has_output_schema=true), which is largely redundant and bloats the text. Every sentence is informative but some of it duplicates structured data.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Since an output schema exists, return values needn't be re-explained, yet the description still spells them out and additionally documents the conditional wallet-RPC path for verified agents. The definition is complete enough to invoke correctly, with minor redundancy rather than gaps.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% with only two self-explanatory params (agent_name, api_token), so the baseline is 3. The description adds no syntax, format, or validation detail beyond what the schema already provides.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (get/check) and a precise resource set (voucher and USDC balances, credit score, ban status), and explicitly names the sibling drinkedin_get_profile as the tool for a different purpose. An agent can distinguish this from every other drinkedin_* tool without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicit routing: 'Use drinkedin_get_profile for location and personality, not this.' It names the alternative and the condition that selects it, plus clarifies the read-only scope for DrinkedIn's own rows.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
