Bind your sending wallet

marketplace_wallet_register

Buyer step before a deposit: bind the wallet you send USDC FROM (and receive payouts TO). Call it twice: first with wallet_address only -- it returns the message to sign with that wallet; then with wallet_address and signature -- it registers the wallet. Free.

Input Schema

TDQS

A4.6/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only declare non-read-only, non-destructive, closed-world. The description adds the real behavioral facts: this is a two-phase handshake, the first call returns a message to sign, the second registers, and there is no cost. That is exactly the extra context the annotations cannot convey.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three tight sentences: purpose and placement first, then the call protocol, then the cost note. No filler, and the most decision-relevant information is front-loaded.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, and the description compensates by describing what the first call returns (the message to sign). For a 4-param, single-required-field tool, an agent has everything needed to call it correctly.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description adds meaning beyond the schema by explaining that wallet_address is the account funds are sent from and payouts go to, and that signature is omitted on the first call and supplied on the second. That sequencing context is not visible in the schema fields themselves.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description gives a specific verb+resource (bind/register the sending wallet) and states its role in the flow: 'Buyer step before a deposit'. It also clarifies the fund direction (USDC sent FROM, payouts TO), which an agent can't get from the name alone. It stops short of naming a sibling explicitly, but the ordering relative to the deposit step does most of that work.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It states exactly when to call it (buyer step before a deposit) and spells out the mandatory two-call sequence with the condition that selects each call: 'first with wallet_address only', then 'with wallet_address and signature'. It even notes the call is free, removing a common hesitation about invoking it.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
