Evm Transfers

evm_transfers
Read-only

ERC-20 transfers into and out of an address in a window of recent blocks (default 2,000, max 10,000), from Transfer logs, newest first, max 100 rows with token symbols. token limits the search to one contract. A busy address can be truncated: narrow the window to see the rest. Price: $0.003 in USDC per successful call, paid with x402 (Base, Solana or Arc); failed calls are not charged.

A3.7/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With readOnlyHint and openWorldHint already declared, the description adds substantial operational context: 2,000 default and 10,000 max blocks, 100-row cap, token symbols, truncation behavior, $0.003 USDC cost, x402 payment, and no charge for failures. The ordering phrase 'messy first' is unclear and slightly undercuts the otherwise strong disclosure.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The most important framing, ERC-20 transfers in and out of an address, is front-loaded, followed by operational constraints and price. It is appropriately sized, though the final pricing sentence is dense and 'messy first' is awkward.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Because an output schema exists, return structure can be omitted, and the description covers source, limits, truncation, and payment. It is nearly complete, but it still leaves sibling selection and chain semantics to the schema.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents chain, token, blocks, and address. The description adds some meaning for token (limits to one contract) and blocks (default and truncation), but does not elaborate on chain values or address format beyond the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states a specific verb and resource: ERC-20 transfers into and out of an address, sourced from Transfer logs with a token filter. It is distinguishable from generic siblings like evm_logs or evm_tx by scope, but it does not explicitly name alternatives or state when it is preferable to them.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives operational context, such as narrowing the window when a busy address is truncated and using token to limit to one contract. However, it provides no explicit when-to-use or when-not guidance versus evm_tx, evm_logs, or token_search, leaving sibling selection to inference.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
