MisarSEO MCP Server

submit_indexnow

Submit up to 10,000 of a project's own URLs to IndexNow (relayed to Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver) so they are re-crawled without waiting for the next scheduled crawl. FREE — no credits, no OAuth. Requires the project to have an IndexNow key set (PATCH /api/seo/projects/:projectId with { indexNowKey }) — the key it hosts at https:///.txt. Every completed site-audit crawl also submits its own crawled URLs automatically, so this tool is for resubmitting specific URLs on demand (e.g. right after a manual publish), not the primary path. Every URL must be on the project's own domain — a mixed-host batch is rejected before any request reaches IndexNow.

A4.6/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare openWorldHint=true, readOnlyHint=false, idempotentHint=false, destructiveHint=false, but the description adds real mechanical detail: FREE/no credits/no OAuth, the 10,000-URL cap, the hosted key file, and crucially that a mixed-host batch is rejected before any request reaches IndexNow (atomic validation). That is context an agent cannot get from annotations.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with what the tool does and its relay targets, then prerequisites and the when-not-to-use caveat. It is dense and every sentence carries information, though it runs long and the domain-restriction rule is partly repeated between description and schema.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

No output schema exists, but the description covers scope, prerequisites, limits, host restrictions, rejection behavior, and cost model for a simple two-parameter tool. An agent has everything needed to invoke it correctly or decide against it.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and both parameters are required with format/maxItems/minItems constraints and descriptions. The description reinforces the own-domain constraint and the 10,000 limit but adds no format or syntax detail beyond what the schema already carries, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource (submit a project's own URLs to IndexNow) plus the downstream relays (Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver) and the outcome (re-crawl without waiting for the scheduled crawl). It is clearly distinguishable from sibling tools like reindex_yandex_url, submit_bing_content, and submit_baidu_urls, which target other engines.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly frames when to use it ('resubmitting specific URLs on demand, e.g. right after a manual publish') and when not to ('every completed site-audit crawl also submits its own crawled URLs automatically, so this tool is ... not the primary path'). It also names the prerequisite (IndexNow key must be set via PATCH /api/seo/projects/:projectId).

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
