set_baidu_connection

Idempotent

Set (or replace) a project's Baidu Webmaster site + push token. Baidu exposes no API to list or verify sites on an account, unlike Bing's GetUserSites — this stores the pair as given, with no live re-validation against Baidu. Requires the operator/user to have already verified the site on ziyuan.baidu.com and minted a push token there (Resource Submission -> Standard Inclusion -> API Submission).

Input Schema

TableJSON Schema
NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
tokenYesThe site-specific push token minted on ziyuan.baidu.com AFTER completing Baidu's own site-ownership verification there — a real, external, one-time setup step this tool cannot automate.
siteUrlYesBaidu's own `site` value, taken verbatim from ziyuan.baidu.com.
projectIdYesRequired. The MisarSEO project ID to scope this call to. Get one from list_projects.

TDQS

A4.2/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare non-read-only, idempotent, non-destructive, closed-world. The description adds genuinely new behavioral context: the pair is stored as given with NO live re-validation against Baidu, and 'replace' semantics for an existing connection. That is useful beyond the annotations, though it doesn't discuss permissions, errors, or what happens on token mismatch.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three sentences, front-loaded with the action, then the key behavioral caveat, then the prerequisite. The Bing comparison is a slight detour but earns its place by explaining why no validation occurs.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a 3-parameter mutation tool with no output schema and annotations covering the safety profile, the description supplies the missing pieces: prerequisite external setup, no-verification behavior, and replace semantics. Nothing an agent needs to call it correctly is absent.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so all three parameters are already documented in the schema (including the external-minting prerequisite for token and the verbatim site value). The description's 'site + push token' framing adds little beyond the schema, so the baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource+scope: 'Set (or replace) a project's Baidu Webmaster site + push token.' It also differentiates from the Bing analogue by name ('unlike Bing's GetUserSites') and from siblings like get_baidu_connection/submit_baidu_urls, which are read/submit rather than connection setup.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives the explicit precondition: the site must already be verified on ziyuan.baidu.com and a push token minted there (Resource Submission -> Standard Inclusion -> API Submission). It does not name a sibling alternative for the case where a connection already exists, but the setup ordering and prerequisites are clear.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
