schedule_content_variant

Destructive

Schedule a saved ContentRipple variant (its text plus hashtags) to a connected account of the matching platform at a given time. Only these formats can be published: twitter_thread, linkedin_post, linkedin_carousel, instagram_caption, instagram_reel_script, threads_post, mastodon_post, bluesky_post — the rest are copy-only. This queues real content for a real audience; confirm the text, account and time with the user first.

TDQS

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already flag destructiveHint=true, openWorldHint=true and idempotentHint=false, so the safety profile is partly covered. The description still adds real context: it discloses the publishable-format restriction, that the operation queues content for a real audience, and that user confirmation is expected before it fires. It does not describe the response or how to undo.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three sentences, each with a distinct job: purpose/mechanics, format eligibility, safety warning. Front-loaded with the core action, zero filler, and the long format enumeration is necessary information not present in the schema.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive, open-world mutation with no output schema, the description covers preconditions, eligibility limits and confirmation expectations well. It omits what happens after scheduling (e.g., how to cancel or edit) and confirmation of return behavior, so it is strong but not exhaustive.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3. The description adds genuine semantics on top: the variant carries 'its text plus hashtags', and the connected_account_id must belong to 'the matching platform' as the variant — a platform-compatibility constraint not stated in the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (schedule) and a specific resource (a saved ContentRipple variant with its text and hashtags), then narrows the scope to a connected account of the matching platform at a given time. An agent can distinguish this from schedule_post or schedule_trend_posts because it operates on a variant, not a raw post.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives a strong eligibility rule ('Only these formats can be published... the rest are copy-only') and a mandatory precondition ('confirm the text, account and time with the user first'). It does not name an explicit alternative sibling for cases where content is not a variant, so it falls short of a 5.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
