Prediction market probabilities

hubvibe_market_prediction
Read-onlyIdempotent

Prediction market odds: live Polymarket markets on any topic (elections, Fed rate cuts, crypto, sports, AI, geopolitics) with the probability each outcome implies as a percentage, plus volume, liquidity and end date. Search by topic words or tickers (BTC, 'fed rate cut') or take the biggest markets. A topic no open market matches is refused free, never sold empty. Input: optional query, limit. One market by slug: prediction.market. $0.05 per call. Returns: markets[] with question, implied_probabilities[], volume, end_date.

TDQS

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover safety (readOnly, idempotent, openWorld), but the description adds two pieces of genuinely operational context: cost ($0.05 per call) and the billing rule that an unmatched topic is 'refused free, never sold empty.' That directly affects how an agent should budget and retry. It stops short of describing freshness/latency or pagination behavior, so not a 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

It is front-loaded with the topic and probability semantics, which is good, but the trailing 'Input: optional query, limit.' and 'Returns: markets[] with question, implied_probabilities[], volume, end_date.' duplicate the input schema and the existing output schema, adding length without new information.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With annotations, 100% schema coverage and an output schema, the description only needs to add what structured fields cannot: it supplies cost, the free-refusal rule, and supported query styles. That is sufficient for correct invocation, though a note on rate limits or result freshness would have made it fully complete.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, including ranges, query examples and the full BCP-47 semantics of 'language', so the schema already carries parameter meaning. The description's 'Input: optional query, limit' restates the schema without adding format or interaction detail and omits 'language' entirely, making this a baseline-3 case.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a concrete resource (live Polymarket prediction markets), the derived value (implied probability per outcome) and the accompanying fields (volume, liquidity, end date) — an agent immediately knows what comes back. It does not differentiate itself from adjacent siblings such as hubvibe_prediction_events or hubvibe_predictive_probability_engine, and the phrase 'One market by slug: prediction.market' is ambiguous about whether it refers to itself or another tool.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives usable retrieval modes ('search by topic words or tickers (BTC, fed rate cut) or take the biggest markets'), which implies when to supply a query vs. omit it. However there is no explicit when-to-use guidance against the sibling prediction tools, nor any statement of prerequisites or limitations beyond the free-refusal behavior.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
