victim_flow

Read-only

The order flow that was extracted on one chain, newest first: every detected victim transaction with its hash, the attacker and its transaction, the pool and protocol, block and position, the victim and attacker gas prices, the attacker gas price over the median gas price of the block, and the profit where measured. Filter by pool and by type (sandwich, backrun, frontrun, jit). window in minutes, default 60, max 1440; limit default 50, max 500. Every hash re-derives from a public RPC. Chains covered: bnb, ethereum, polygon, avalanche. Price: 1 cent per call.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
poolNoPool: a 0x address of 40 hex characters or a 0x pool id of 64 hex characters; absent = every pool. Example: 0x36696169c63e42cd08ce11f5deebbcebae652050
typeNoDetection type, one of sandwich, backrun, frontrun, jit; absent = all of them. Example: sandwich
chainNoOne of bnb, ethereum, polygon, avalanche; default bnb. Example: ethereum
limitNoNumber of rows, whole number 1 to 500, default 50. Example: 100
windowNoWindow in whole minutes, 1 to 1440, default 60. Example: 15

dataGapsNoPresent only when the window of the answer overlaps a recorded data gap. Figures inside each listed period are incomplete. periods are the recorded gaps (end null while still open); atCall is measured against the window of this call and is left out of meta.contentHash.

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only supply readOnlyHint=true, and the description adds real operational context: newest-first ordering, a bounded time window (default 60, max 1440 minutes), row cap (max 500), verifiability of every hash against a public RPC, and a per-call cost of 1 cent. The pricing and verifiability notes are exactly the kind of disclosure annotations cannot carry; no contradiction with readOnlyHint.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The purpose and ordering lead, followed by the field inventory and then the terse operational facts (window, limit, verifiability, chains, price) in short clauses. Dense but front-loaded with zero filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Chains, filters, defaults, caps, ordering, cost and verifiability are all covered, and an output schema exists so return-shape explanation is not required. The field enumeration is somewhat redundant against the output schema, but the remaining operational facts make it complete enough to call correctly.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% with per-parameter descriptions, examples, enums and defaults, so the schema already does the work. The description restates the window/limit defaults and maxima and the type/pool filters but adds no new syntax or constraint detail beyond them; baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description names the resource precisely — detected victim (MEV) transactions on a single chain — and enumerates the returned fields, so an agent knows exactly what it gets back. It does not name or contrast with any sibling (mev_pool_check, mev_intel, mev_flow_spec), so differentiation is left to the agent.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It tells the agent how to narrow results ('Filter by pool and by type') and the chain scope, which implies the lookup use case, but there is no explicit when-to-use vs. when-not or alternative-tool routing.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
