stream_register

The MEV order flow stream PUSHED to your https URL for one chain: one signed message per completed minute with detected MEV on that chain, each carrying the per-pool rows of that minute (the same rows as mev_pressure). 4 dollars buys 7 days of one chain (bnb, ethereum, polygon or avalanche); call once per chain, and again to renew. Manage with webhook_status and webhook_unregister; the contract is in mev_flow_spec. Price: 4 dollars per call. A ChainHelix API key does not cover this tool.

A4.7/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations present, the description carries the full burden and does so well: it discloses the push (not pull) delivery model, the one-signed-message-per-completed-minute cadence, the payload contents (per-pool rows), the price and duration ($4 / 7 days per chain), and the auth exclusion. Renewal semantics are also covered.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with delivery mechanics and dense with useful detail in a few sentences. The pricing statement appears twice ('4 dollars buys 7 days' and 'Price: 4 dollars per call'), a minor redundancy, but no sentence is otherwise wasted.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Return values need not be explained since an output schema exists, and the description covers payload shape, cadence, cost, lifecycle siblings, and auth. Minor gaps remain around what happens when the 7-day window lapses or when the webhook URL fails delivery.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 0%, so the description must compensate, and it partly does: 'url' is characterized as your https destination and 'chain' as one-of bnb/ethereum/polygon/avalanche, matching the enum. It stops short of stating URL validation requirements or whether the endpoint must be publicly reachable.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource: registers a webhook stream that PUSHES MEV order flow for one chain to a given https URL. It also anchors the payload to a known sibling ('the same rows as mev_pressure') and implies the contrast with stream_register_all via 'call once per chain', so an agent can tell this apart from neighbors without opening schemas.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives explicit operating instructions: call once per chain, call again to renew, and manage the lifecycle with webhook_status and webhook_unregister. It also names the spec tool (mev_flow_spec) for the contract and flags a billing gate ('A ChainHelix API key does not cover this tool').

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
