Materials Create Override
materials_create_overrideDestructive
Add your organisation's own data to a material grade: an internal code, a trade name, notes and attributes. A grade carries one override; a second answers 409. Calculations run afterwards use it.
Input Schema
TableJSON Schema
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| urn | No | Canonical or org-private URN (urn:arc:mat:…:…). | |
| notes | No | Free-text notes attached to this material by the organization. | |
| attributes | No | Your organization's material statement for this grade: mechanical and physical figures (`yield_mpa`, `tensile_mpa`, `hardness_hb`, …) and the categorical route gates (`laser_cuttable`, `weldability_class`, `heat_treatable`, …). A closed vocabulary, not free-form: an unknown key or a verdict outside a gate's set is refused (422) rather than stored, because a key nothing reads and a misspelled one are indistinguishable on the quote. `GET /materials/attribute-vocabulary` lists every accepted key, its unit or its verdicts, and what the costing engine does with it. | |
| trade_name | No | Vendor trade name (e.g. 'Inconel 718'). | |
| internal_code | No | Org-internal SKU / part code for this material. | |
| material_grade_id | No | Canonical grade this override extends. NULL → fully org-private material not in the global catalogue (requires ``urn`` populated). |
