Claim eligible tickets

claim_tickets

Claims eligible, inbox-confirmed bookings: all of them, or only the bookings whose ids (from submit_ticket_email or get_my_record) are listed. A booking is claimed whole, but each distinct venue and showing time counts once per fan, regardless of seats or bookings. Returns the showings added, new count, milestone and private card page.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only tell us this mutates but is not destructive and is closed-world; the description adds genuinely non-obvious rules — a booking is claimed atomically ('whole'), and dedupe is per distinct venue plus showing time per fan, regardless of seats. It does not mention prerequisites such as a connected account or a confirmed inbox, which matters for a mutation.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three tight sentences, front-loaded with the action and its scope before the dedupe rule. The final sentence listing return fields is largely redundant given an output schema exists, so it is the one part that does not fully earn its place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a single-optional-parameter mutation with an output schema, the definition covers scope, id provenance, atomicity, and dedupe semantics — everything needed to call it correctly. Return values are described in the output schema, so the brief mention here is harmless rather than a missing piece.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 0%, so the description must carry the load: it identifies booking_ids as ids obtained from submit_ticket_email or get_my_record, and states that omitting them claims all bookings — the most important semantic fact about an optional array parameter. It omits the 1–100 item bounds and the 128-char id limit, though those are visible in the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

Names a specific verb ('claims') and a precisely scoped resource ('eligible, inbox-confirmed bookings'), then immediately clarifies the two modes: all bookings or only listed ids. An agent can distinguish this from confirm_inbox, submit_ticket_email, and get_my_record without opening any schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explains both invocation modes clearly — omit ids to claim everything, or pass ids sourced from submit_ticket_email or get_my_record — which is real when-to-use guidance tied to sibling tools. It stops short of defining what 'eligible' means or what happens to ineligible bookings, leaving a gap an agent cannot resolve from the definition.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
