Buscar juegos de mesa

search_games
Read-onlyIdempotent

TDQS

A3.7/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint, idempotentHint and destructiveHint=false, so the safety profile is covered. The description adds real value beyond that by naming the returned fields and the availability states (in_stock, out_of_stock, preorder), which is important since no output schema exists. It does not mention auth or rate limiting, so it stops short of a 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three sentences, front-loaded with the core purpose followed by filter categories, then returns, then the retry tip. Efficient overall, though 'con el mismo buscador que la web' is decorative filler that does not help an agent invoke the tool.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With 12 optional parameters and no output schema, the description usefully compensates by listing the searchable facets and the shape of the response. It omits result-count behavior already present in the schema and does not cover error/empty-result semantics beyond the retry hint, leaving minor gaps.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so every parameter (age, players, price ranges, minutes, country, sort, limit) is already documented, and the description only restates the filter categories. It adds no syntax or interaction detail beyond the schema's own normalization notes, so the baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Busca en el catálogo de Zacatrus') and enumerates the catalog scope (juegos de mesa, rol, cartas y accesorios). It is clear what the tool does, but it does not distinguish itself from close siblings like 'search', 'get_game' or 'community_top_games', so an agent must infer the boundary.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Indicates that free text can be combined with filters and adds a practical fallback ('Si no hay resultados, prueba con menos filtros'), which is genuine guidance. However, it never says when to prefer this over 'get_game' (single game lookup) or 'community_top_games', so usage vs alternatives is only implied.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
