Use an enabled dedicated financial specialist

seb_fin_analyze

Use only for entitled accounts with an enabled dedicated Seb-9B-Fin backend, to judge financial language or supplied point-in-time market context with the same choice/noul/score schema. The public general-model endpoint does not currently enable this specialist. Returns typed model estimates, not investment advice, a forecast guarantee or an executed trade. Missing finance configuration/entitlement returns an error; never assume general-model fallback. Paid input-token metering applies when enabled.

TDQS

A4.3/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations provided, the description carries the full burden and does so well: entitlement errors, no fallback, paid input-token metering, and return limitations ('not investment advice, a forecast guarantee or an executed trade') are all disclosed. It also states that missing finance configuration produces an error, which is important failure behavior.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The description is front-loaded with the entitlement gate and core purpose, followed by useful operational caveats. It is dense but appropriately sized; some of the general-model fallback warning overlaps with the earlier public-endpoint sentence, but the redundancy is minor.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a complex nested-schema tool with no output schema, the description covers the key context an agent needs: entitlement prerequisites, error behavior, metering, non-advice status, and the general output nature as typed model estimates. It could say more about the returned estimate structure, but the schema already defines the question formats and the description provides the operational guardrails.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the detailed state and questions schema already documents parameter semantics. The description mentions 'supplied point-in-time market context' and the choice/noul/score schema, but does not add syntax or usage details beyond what the schema provides; baseline 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states a specific verb and resource: judge financial language or supplied point-in-time market context using the choice/noul/score schema on an entitled dedicated Seb-9B-Fin backend. It clearly separates this specialist from the public general-model endpoint, but does not name or distinguish the sibling tools such as seb_decide or seb_route.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives explicit eligibility conditions ('only for entitled accounts with an enabled dedicated Seb-9B-Fin backend'), states that the public general-model endpoint does not enable the specialist, and warns never to assume general-model fallback. These are concrete when-to-use and when-not-to-use instructions.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
