PeoplePerHour by Cotlet

Click on the page

cotlet_browser_click
Destructive

Clicks a link, button or other element of the current page in the user's PeoplePerHour Cloud Browser, by its number in the page's element list, and returns the URL and title after the click. It acts as the user on that site. Buttons that pay or buy and buttons on account or sign-in pages are refused. Every started minute of the session costs credits; it ends when closed or 3 minutes after the last call in the browser.

TDQS

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes well past the annotations: it discloses the refusal policy for payment and account/sign-in buttons, that the tool acts as the user on the site, the credit cost per started minute, and the session lifetime (ends on close or 3 minutes after the last call). These are behavioral facts an agent could not infer from the schema or hints.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded in the first clause, followed by the refusal rule and the cost/session caveat, with no filler. The final cost sentence is longer than strictly necessary for tool selection but is substantive, so it earns its place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

The tool has one required parameter at full schema coverage, no output schema, and the description explicitly discloses the return (URL and title after the click) along with refusal and billing behavior. Nothing material is missing for correct invocation.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% and the single parameter is documented, so the schema carries the load. The description restates the element-number semantics without adding source information (e.g. that the list comes from reading the page first), so the baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (clicks), a specific resource (an element of the current page in the Cloud Browser), and the exact selection mechanism (the element's number in the page's element list), plus what is returned. The mention of 'link, button or other element' implicitly separates it from cotlet_browser_type, cotlet_browser_press and cotlet_browser_select.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives a clear when-not rule: buttons that pay/buy and buttons on account or sign-in pages are refused, and 'it acts as the user on that site' frames the acting-on-behalf context. It does not route the agent to sibling tools (press, navigate, select) for non-click interactions, so it stops short of full alternative guidance.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
