Tiqets: Start checkout

tiqets_start_checkout

Tiqets: Fill the order and return the Tiqets checkout link. Nothing is charged until you pay there yourself. Prepares an order for the product, date and tickets and returns the Tiqets checkout link. It does not pay and charges nothing. It reaches no one, so it runs without asking; you finish the payment on Tiqets. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Adds real context beyond annotations: it discloses that despite being a checkout it charges nothing and pays nothing, that it notifies no one so it can run without prompting, and that it requires the user's Cotlet API key. This meaningfully clarifies the safety profile (openWorld write-ish but non-destructive) that the bare hints only sketch.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded, but the description repeats itself: the order/checkout-link statement appears twice and the 'charges nothing' idea is stated in three separate phrasings ('Nothing is charged,' 'does not pay and charges nothing,' 'you finish the payment'). Trimming would sharpen it.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a checkout-initiation tool with no output schema, the description covers auth requirements, the non-charging guarantee, and how the flow concludes, which is most of what an agent needs. It does not describe what the created order state looks like or its lifetime.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the schema fully documents product_id, date, tickets, and timeslot (including sourcing hints). The description only paraphrases 'product, date and tickets' and adds no syntax or format detail beyond the schema, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource: 'Fill the order and return the Tiqets checkout link' / 'Prepares an order for the product, date and tickets.' An agent can identify it as an order-preparation step, though the description never names or contrasts sibling tools like check_availability or search_experiences.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage is implied by the workflow description ('you finish the payment on Tiqets'), positioning this as the step before payment. However, there is no explicit when-to-use statement or named alternatives to route against, leaving selection to inference.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
