SoundCloud: Schedule release

soundcloud_schedule_release

SoundCloud: Set when a private track goes public and lands in followers' feeds. Needs Artist Pro. Schedules a private track to go public at the time you give. At that time it is released and appears in followers' Feeds. Only Artist Pro creators can schedule, only single tracks, and only tracks that are private. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool. Reaches other people: confirm with the user before each call. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes well beyond the annotations (readOnlyHint=false, openWorldHint=true, destructiveHint=false): it discloses the default confirmation gate, that confirmation can be toggled off per tool, that the action reaches other people, and required API-key access. That is exactly the behavioral context an agent needs for a publishing action.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the core purpose, but the middle sentences repeat the same idea twice ('go public at the time you give' / 'At that time it is released and appears in followers' Feeds'). The two confirmation sentences are also redundant, diluting an otherwise efficient description.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Covers prerequisites, confirmation behavior, and auth needs for a 2-param mutation with no output schema, so an agent has enough to call it correctly. It would be complete at 5 with slightly less redundant phrasing, but no critical information is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so track_id and release_at are already documented. The description still adds meaning: the track must be private and single (constraining which track_id is valid) and clarifies release_at is the moment the track goes public.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource (schedules a private track to go public) and its downstream effect (appears in followers' Feeds). Clearly distinguishable from siblings like set_track_privacy or update_track, which don't defer publication.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives explicit preconditions: needs Artist Pro, only single tracks, only private tracks. This tells the agent when the tool is valid vs invalid. It does not name a specific alternative (e.g., publish immediately via set_track_privacy), so it stops short of full routing guidance.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
