Setmore: Get appointment report

setmore_get_appointment_report
Read-only

Setmore: Appointment history from Reports, filtered by date range, service, class or team member. Returns the appointment history that Settings > Booking Page > Reports shows in the web app, with counts per team member for the filter you set. Setmore recommends ranges of no more than 3 months for best results. It reads only; nothing is exported to a file. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

TDQS

A3.9/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true, destructiveHint=false and openWorldHint=true, so safety is covered. The description adds real context beyond that: nothing is exported to a file, output includes per-team-member counts for the chosen filter, and a Cotlet API key with app access is required.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the core purpose, then constraints and auth needs. Slightly redundant in repeating the Reports framing twice, but every sentence carries practical information and there is no filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a read-only 4-parameter report tool with no output schema, the description covers scope, filters, the web-app analogue, the 3-month recommendation, and the auth prerequisite. Only the exact shape of the returned counts is left implicit, which is acceptable given no output schema.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents from/to/staff_id/service_id. The description restates the filter dimensions (service, class, team member) but adds no format or syntax detail beyond the schema, making the baseline 3 appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states a specific verb+resource ('Appointment history from Reports') and enumerates the filter dimensions (date range, service, class, team member). An agent can distinguish this reporting tool from setmore_list_appointments and setmore_get_appointment purely from the description.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It implies the use case (mirroring the Settings > Booking Page > Reports view) and gives one operational constraint (keep ranges under 3 months), but offers no explicit when-to-use vs alternatives guidance or exclusions relative to the sibling appointment tools.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
