Pixieset: List favorites

pixieset_list_favorites
Read-only

Pixieset: Photos clients marked as favorites in a collection, with their comments. Returns the photos clients favorited in one collection, with the file name of each and any note or editing request the client added to that image. Set with_comments_only to get only photos that have a comment. Nothing is changed or sent. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true and destructiveHint=false, so the safety profile is partly structured. The description goes further by stating 'Nothing is changed or sent' and disclosing the auth requirement (Cotlet API key with app access), which is genuinely useful context beyond the annotations.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded and readable, but the first and second sentences overlap heavily, both restating 'photos clients favorited in a collection' with their comments. One of the two sentences does not earn its place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description usefully describes what is returned (file name per photo plus any client note or editing request), and covers the read-only and auth prerequisites. Pagination behavior is unmentioned, which is the only notable gap for a list tool.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so both parameters are already documented. The description restates with_comments_only ('get only photos that have a comment') and implies the single-collection scope of collection_id, but adds no syntax or format detail beyond the schema. Baseline 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (list) and resource (photos clients favorited in one collection) with the extra detail that comments/notes come along. It is clearly distinguishable from Pixieset siblings like get_collection or list_collections.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description implies the usage context (favorites of a single collection) and gives a filtering hint, but it never states when to prefer this over get_collection or how it relates to other Pixieset listing tools. Workable but no explicit when/when-not.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
