Pixieset: List contacts

pixieset_list_contacts
Read-only

Pixieset: Studio Manager contacts: clients, leads and other connections. Lists the contacts in Studio Manager with email and phone, newest first. Search by name or email to find the contact_id that create_invoice needs. Pages hold up to 100 contacts; pass next_cursor back as cursor for the next page. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

A4.5/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover the safety profile (readOnly, non-destructive), and the description adds ordering ('newest first'), pagination mechanics, and the API key/auth requirement. It doesn't discuss rate limits or error behavior, but the added context is substantive.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three dense sentences with zero filler; the resource scope, purpose, and pagination contract are front-loaded in that order.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Covers what is returned (email, phone), ordering, pagination, and auth, which compensates for the absent output schema. An agent has everything needed to call this correctly on the first try.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% so the baseline is 3, but the description adds value the schema lacks: it names the output cursor field ('next_cursor') that must be fed back as 'cursor', which is essential since no output schema exists.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource (lists Studio Manager contacts, covering clients, leads and other connections) and even names the returned fields. It distinguishes itself from siblings by tying its purpose to supplying the contact_id that create_invoice needs.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly directs the agent to search by name or email when it needs a contact_id for create_invoice, which is clear usage context. It doesn't state when NOT to use it or name a competing lookup tool, so it stops short of full routing guidance.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
