Fresha: List appointments

fresha_list_appointments
Read-only

Fresha: Appointments in a date range, with client, services, team member and status. Lists appointments for the dates you give, ordered by start time. Each one has its client, services, team member and status. Statuses are Booked, Confirmed, Completed, Cancelled and No-show, plus any custom statuses your business created in Settings; custom ones come back under their own name. Pass appointment_id from an item to reschedule_appointment or cancel_appointment. Pass next_cursor back as cursor for the next page. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true and destructiveHint=false, so the safety profile is covered. The description adds genuinely useful context beyond that: results ordered by start time, status set including custom statuses that return under their own name, cursor-based pagination, and an auth requirement (Cotlet API key with access).

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded and the sentences are short and useful, but the phrase about client/services/team member/status is stated twice, which is mild redundancy. Otherwise no filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description must cover return values, and it does: each appointment carries client, services, team member, status, and a next_cursor for pagination, plus the auth prerequisite. Nothing essential for correct invocation is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so baseline is 3 and the schema carries most parameter meaning. The description adds value by clarifying the cursor round-trip flow (next_cursor returned, passed back as cursor) and the custom-status naming behavior, which go slightly beyond the schema text.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (Lists) and resource (appointments) with date-range scope and ordering. It also names related siblings (reschedule_appointment, cancel_appointment), letting an agent distinguish this as the read/list tool without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives clear routing context: pass appointment_id to reschedule_appointment or cancel_appointment, and pass next_cursor back as cursor for pagination. It describes follow-on usage well but offers no explicit when-to-use-this-vs-another-listing guidance (e.g., no filtering alternative).

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
