Everfit: Add client to Autoflow

everfit_add_client_to_autoflow

Everfit: Enroll a client in an Autoflow; an active one sends its workouts, tasks and announcements. Adds a client to an Autoflow. In an active Autoflow the client is activated and receives all scheduled workouts, announcements and tasks; in a paused one they receive nothing until it is activated. start_date and start_day set where the client begins. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool. Reaches other people: confirm with the user before each call. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

TDQS

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=false, destructiveHint=false and openWorldHint=true, so the mutation and reach are partly covered. The description adds real substance: the active-vs-paused Autoflow consequence (client receives or receives nothing until activated), the confirmation requirement for each call, and the API key scope.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The opening is front-loaded and clear, but 'Enroll a client in an Autoflow' and 'Adds a client to an Autoflow' are redundant restatements, and the active/paused behavior is repeated twice. Some sentences do not fully earn their place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a state-changing tool whose annotations cover the safety profile and with no output schema to explain, the description is largely complete: it covers the enrollment effect, active/paused semantics, start positioning, confirmation policy, and auth requirement. Only explicit sibling routing is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents all four params with defaults and ID sources. The one line about 'start_date and start_day set where the client begins' adds marginal framing but no syntax beyond the schema, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource ('Enroll a client in an Autoflow') and expands on what that means in practice. It never explicitly distinguishes itself from related-everfit siblings, but the Autoflow resource makes the target unambiguous.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description gives a confirmation policy ('By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off') but stops short of saying when to choose this over everfit_assign_program or everfit_assign_task. Usage context is implied rather than stated.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
