Civitatis: Request payment

civitatis_request_payment

Civitatis: Request payment for services rendered in the previous month, net of commission. Requests payment for the services of one past month, net of the Civitatis commission, the same request you make online in the control panel. Civitatis opens requests from the first day of the following month. By default you confirm each call; you can switch that off for this tool. Reaches other people: confirm with the user before each call. Needs the user's Cotlet API key with access to this app.

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Adds meaningful context beyond the annotations (readOnlyHint=false, openWorldHint=true, destructiveHint=false): the need for a Cotlet API key with app access, the fact that the action 'reaches other people,' and that per-call confirmation is on by default. The 'reaches other people' note partially overlaps openWorldHint, but the confirmation and auth details are genuinely additive.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The core constraint is front-loaded, but the first two sentences are near-duplicates ('services rendered in the previous month' vs 'services of one past month'), and 'the same request you make online in the control panel' is filler that adds no callable information.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a single-parameter action tool with no output schema, it covers the essentials an agent needs: timing window, auth requirement, and external-impact/confirmation behavior. It leaves the exact request semantics (idempotency, response) unspecified, but the annotations and lack of output schema make this a minor gap.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and the single 'month' parameter is fully documented as YYYY-MM. The description's 'one past month' phrasing loosely restates the schema's 'Must be a past month' without adding format or validation detail, so the baseline 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource: 'Request payment for services rendered in the previous month, net of commission,' which distinguishes it from the list-style sibling civitatis_list_payments. However, it never explicitly names a sibling or contrasts with one, so an agent must infer the boundary itself.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives real usage context: requests can only be made from the first day of the following month, and each call is confirmed by default (toggleable). It also warns 'confirm with the user before each call.' It stops short of naming an alternative tool or a when-not-to-use condition.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
