Save flow to Google Drive

save_flow_to_drive

Save a flow as a file in the Wavelength folder of the connected Google Drive. google_doc makes a Google Doc with a summary, the steps and owners, questions to confirm, a link to the live flow, and the Mermaid code. drawio, svg, mermaid, and json save the diagram in that format. Returns the Drive link. If the app is not connected, the error tells the user where to connect it in Wavelength settings.

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=false, openWorldHint=true and destructiveHint=false, so the mutation/external-write profile is covered. The description adds genuinely new behavior: the file lands in a specific Drive folder, the return value is the Drive link, and the failure mode (connection error pointing to Wavelength settings) is spelled out.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Four tightly packed sentences, front-loaded with the core action and destination, then format semantics, then return value and error handling. Each sentence carries information; nothing is filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description correctly notes that the Drive link is returned, and it covers the disconnected-app failure path — the two things an agent most needs beyond the schema. Minor gap: no mention of whether an existing file is overwritten given idempotentHint=false.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description goes further by explaining what each enum value actually produces (google_doc builds a doc containing summary, steps and owners, questions, live-flow link and Mermaid code; drawio/svg/mermaid/json save the diagram in that format). That is real semantic value beyond the schema's 'The file format. Default google_doc.'

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (save), resource (a flow), and destination (the Wavelength folder of the connected Google Drive), which distinguishes it from send_flow_to_confluence/jira/notion and the import_from_google_drive sibling. It does not explicitly address how it relates to the export_flow sibling, so sibling differentiation is implied rather than stated.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage context is implied by the format-by-format explanation, which tells the agent which format to pick for which outcome, but there is no explicit when-to-use-this vs. an alternative (e.g. export_flow or send_flow_to_*). No exclusions or preconditions are stated beyond the disconnected-app error case.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
