create_project

Create a new project workspace for organizing and mocking API endpoints. Each project gets a unique slug used to route requests through the mock engine at: https://api.simceptor.com/mock/{slug}/{path}. Don't reconstruct this URL by hand for a specific mock — every create_mock/update_mock/get_mock_detail/list_mocks/get_mock_by_slug response includes a ready-to-use mockUrl field with the real, complete public URL for that mock.

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With no annotations, the description carries the full burden and largely delivers: it discloses that each project receives a unique slug, that the slug drives request routing through the mock engine at a stated URL pattern, and it warns against hand-constructing URLs because sibling responses expose a real mockUrl. It omits permissions/auth, whether project names must be unique, and what state a new project starts in (e.g. empty mock list).

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the action and resource, then the slug/routing consequence. The final sentence about mockUrl is slightly tangential to a create operation but is a genuinely useful caution, so it earns most of its place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness3/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, so the description should describe what comes back; it only implies a slug is returned. It also leaves open whether creating a project is idempotent, whether names are unique, and any auth or quota constraints — gaps an agent would want filled for a create tool with no annotations.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so all three parameters (name, userNotes, description) are already documented with examples and purpose. The description adds no parameter-level detail such as slug derivation from name or character constraints, so the baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource ('Create a new project workspace') and adds the purpose ('organizing and mocking API endpoints'), which distinguishes it from create_mock and list_projects. It stops short of naming adjacent alternatives explicitly, but the resource is unambiguous.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The intent ('organizing and mocking API endpoints') implies when to reach for it, and the warning about not hand-building URLs implies a usage pattern downstream. However, there is no explicit when-to-use vs. when-not, and no mention of list_projects, create_mock, or import_project as alternatives.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
