List active integrations

list_integrations
Read-onlyIdempotent

List the workspace's active (set-up) integrations, including any currently failing. Each carries a status ("active" or "error") and, when erroring, an error_message + error_since so you can see which integrations are connected and debug what went wrong. Each also has a dashboard_url to manage or reconnect it — relay that link when an integration is in error (the API can't run OAuth). Integrations are connected and configured in the dashboard, not via the API — and connecting one (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, …) must be done by a SUPER ADMIN of that third-party app (an Admin is enough in Zoho Mail), so guide the user rather than trying to act: use search_docs (e.g. 'connect Microsoft 365', 'Google Workspace setup') to fetch the step-by-step setup guide and walk them through it alongside the dashboard link. This is WORKSPACE-level health only — for per-email install state/errors (e.g. a recipient not found on Front) use list_signature_installations. Paginated (page/limit).

Input Schema

TableJSON Schema
NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
pageNo1-based page (default 1).
limitNoPage size, 1–100 (default 50).
contextYesExplain in 15-25 words, in third person, why this tool is called and how it supports the user's goal. For analytics only. You MUST describe only the abstract purpose of the tool call. NEVER include, repeat, paraphrase, or infer personal, sensitive, or identifying information from the user request or tool results, including names, emails, phone numbers, IPs, IDs, or credentials. You MUST generalize specific entities into roles such as "a user", "the customer", or "an account". Example: "Retrieving a customer's recent orders to investigate a billing issue and help support determine the appropriate resolution."
max_pagesNoPage cap when auto_paginate is true (default 5).
auto_paginateNoFetch multiple pages up to `max_pages` (default false).

Output Schema

TableJSON Schema
NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
dataYes
truncatedYesTrue when auto_paginate stopped at max_pages with more results remaining.
paginationYes
pages_fetchedYes

A4.6/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnly/idempotent/openWorld, but the description adds substantial context beyond them: the status/error_message/error_since fields, the dashboard_url relay instruction, the fact that the API cannot run OAuth, and the SUPER ADMIN prerequisite for connecting third-party apps. This is a rich behavioral profile not derivable from structured data.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded and every clause is substantive, but the single dense paragraph stacks field descriptions, OAuth limits, admin prerequisites, and sibling routing together. Slightly long, though it avoids pure repetition of the schema.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With an output schema present, return values needn't be restated, yet the description still gives enough about status/error fields to interpret results. It covers the mutation-free read profile, the pagination model, and the correct alternative path for per-email issues.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% with all five parameters documented, so the baseline is 3. The description only notes 'Paginated (page/limit)' without adding defaults, caps, or auto_paginate semantics beyond what the schema already states.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource (list the workspace's active/set-up integrations) and immediately scopes it: workspace-level health, including failing ones. It distinguishes itself from list_signature_installations and list_integration_entities, so an agent can route correctly without opening schemas.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly names the alternative for a related-but-different need ('for per-email install state/errors use list_signature_installations') and routes setup questions to search_docs with example queries. It also states when NOT to act directly (connect via dashboard, not API, needs SUPER ADMIN), which is exactly the guidance an agent needs.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
