Set the Bing Webmaster site

set_bing_site
Idempotent

Sets the site URL registered in Bing Webmaster Tools for one Search Console property in Organiq (same rule as the panel): https, no query/fragment, and on the property's own domain (an sc-domain property accepts the domain and its subdomains; a URL-prefix property requires the same host under its path); null clears it. Returns the property settings and whether the account's Bing API key is set (set_bing_key). When the value changes, the Bing data already synced is deleted and the next daily sync rebuilds it; get_bing_performance answers after a sync with both the site and the key in place. Needs the write scope (mcp:write). Use it when check_connection lists no_bing or the user asks to connect Bing. Guide: https://organiqgeo.com/connect/bing. / Grava a URL do site no Bing Webmaster Tools para a propriedade; precisa também da chave da conta (set_bing_key).

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
siteYesProperty: displayName ("example.com"), Search Console siteUrl ("sc-domain:example.com", "https://www.example.com/") or numeric id. A unique substring among visible properties also works ("exam"). list_sites shows the options. The value "demo" selects a demonstration site with fictional data: it works without signing in and is read-only. / Propriedade por nome, siteUrl ou id; "demo" é um site de demonstração com dados fictícios, sem login e só leitura.
bingSiteUrlYesSite URL as registered in Bing Webmaster Tools, e.g. "https://www.example.com/"; null clears it.

A4.8/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Goes well beyond the annotations: it discloses that changing the value deletes already-synced Bing data (rebuilt by the next daily sync), that the write scope mcp:write is required, and that the response includes the property settings plus the account's Bing-key status. The data-deletion side effect and auth requirement are exactly the kind of context annotations cannot convey.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose is front-loaded and the ordering (purpose → constraints → side effects → prerequisites → when-to-use) is logical. The trailing Portuguese sentence largely restates the set_bing_key dependency, so it is mild redundancy rather than dead weight.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Although there is no output schema, the description states what is returned (property settings and whether the Bing key is set), covers validation, side effects, auth scope and prerequisite tooling. An agent can call this correctly without further lookup.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description adds real semantics on top: the https/no-query/no-fragment rule, the sc-domain vs URL-prefix host rule, and null-as-clear. The `site` parameter is left to the schema, which is acceptable given its detailed description.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb ('Sets') and resource ('the site URL registered in Bing Webmaster Tools for one Search Console property'), plus the exact validation rule applied. It is unmistakably distinct from set_bing_key (which sets the API key) and get_bing_performance (which reads data).

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explicitly names the trigger condition: "Use it when check_connection lists no_bing or the user asks to connect Bing." It also names the prerequisite sibling (set_bing_key) and the downstream read tool (get_bing_performance), so the agent has both the entry condition and the ordering constraint.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
