OI AI Adoption

Advise on AI for a described process

adoption_find_patterns
Read-onlyIdempotent

Advises on using AI in a process the user describes, from a curated knowledge base with sources. The caller passes the description, the task that best matches it and the process properties it states; the server selects deterministically and does not use a language model. The result puts questions to ask first (ask_first) at the top, then one recommended way as a workflow (recommendation: how it would work, what it brings with sourced effects only, what is needed, what to watch out for, a first step), at most two alternatives, and an internal part with ids, evidence levels and sources. For a general question without a concrete process, task general_question returns two business questions and no recommendation yet; with user_unsure true it returns simpler questions and example tasks.

Input Schema

TableJSON Schema
NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
langNoLanguage of the result: sl, en, de or hr. Texts not yet translated are returned in English and marked in the result.en
taskNoThe task that best matches the description. One of: general_question: a general question without a concrete process (for example how to introduce AI in the business); voice_entry: Entering data into a form by voice instead of typing; data_entry_from_documents: Taking data from incoming documents (orders, invoices, delivery notes) into the ERP; mail_routing: Sorting incoming e-mail and documents to the right person or team; register_checks: Checking and completing customer and supplier data from official registers; goods_receipt: Receiving goods with a photo of the delivery note and weighing; customer_questions: Answering frequent customer questions; email_reply_drafts: Preparing replies to incoming e-mail; complete_requests: Collecting all the details of a request before it is handed over; quote_from_inquiry: Preparing a quote from a customer inquiry; lead_finding: Finding and qualifying potential customers; bookings_reminders: Online booking of appointments with reminders; summarise_documents: Summarising long documents into the points that matter; documents_from_templates: Creating documents such as quotes or reports from templates; compare_documents: Comparing documents and finding deviations; translate_documents: Translating technical documents; demand_forecast: Forecasting demand; shift_scheduling: Planning shifts while respecting rules and wishes; resource_scheduling: Scheduling vehicles, machines or rooms; stock_replenishment: Deciding how much stock to order; deal_margin: Seeing the margin of each deal or project; anomaly_detection: Catching duplicate invoices and unusual costs; purchasing_analysis: Analysing purchases and consumption; digital_checklists: Replacing paper checklists with digital ones (for example HACCP, vehicle checks); ai_compliance_check: Checking whether your use of AI complies with the rules; internal_document_search: Finding answers in internal instructions and policies; assistant_connected_to_systems: Letting the assistant you already pay for read your company systems; employee_onboarding: Onboarding new employees; professional_decision_support: Supporting professional decisions (clinical, technical)
propertiesNoProcess properties the description states; leave out what it does not say
descriptionYesThe user's description of the process, unchanged
user_unsureNoOnly for task general_question: true after the user said they do not know; returns simple questions and example tasks
process_typeNoOptional filter by process type

A4.6/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnly, idempotent, non-destructive, closed-world behavior, and the description adds substantial context on top: selection is deterministic and does not use a language model, and it details the exact shape of the result (ask_first first, one recommendation workflow, at most two alternatives, plus an internal evidence section). This goes well beyond what the annotations convey.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

One dense paragraph, front-loaded with purpose before mechanics and the general_question special case. Every sentence carries information (deterministic model, output ordering, edge-case task), though the middle sentence stacking recommendation sub-parts is somewhat heavy.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema and the nested properties object holds ~32 fields, so the description carries real burden; it compensates by describing the return structure (ask_first, recommendation, alternatives, internal ids/evidence/sources) and the special general_question path. An agent has enough to call it correctly and interpret the response.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description adds meaning beyond the schema by explaining the interaction between description, task and properties ("the process properties it states; leave out what it does not say") and clarifying the special semantics of general_question and user_unsure. Marginal but genuine added value over the already-thorough schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource: advises on using AI in a user-described process, drawing from a curated, sourced knowledge base. It distinguishes itself from siblings like adoption_get_pattern by describing the input (free-text description plus matched task and properties) and the deterministic selection model, so an agent can tell this is the entry-point discovery tool.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives clear routing context: use task general_question when there is no concrete process, and set user_unsure true after the user says they don't know. It does not, however, explicitly name sibling alternatives (e.g., use adoption_get_pattern to fetch one pattern by id, or adoption_list_process_types to browse), leaving that comparison to inference.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
