Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare this as a non-read-only, open-world, non-idempotent, non-destructive write. The description adds valuable behavioral context beyond annotations: a daily rate limit (5 per UTC day), content sanitization (links, emails, phone numbers removed), and a prerequisite (live profile). It does not cover post permanence or editability, but the additions are substantial.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The description is a single, front-loaded sentence that states the action, resource, and key restrictions in parentheses. Every phrase earns its place with no redundancy or filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Given four parameters, one required, no output schema, and annotations that cover the safety profile, the description provides a solid picture: purpose, rate limit, content moderation, and prerequisite. It could mention what a successful post returns or whether posts can be edited, but the core information an agent needs to call it correctly is present.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so the schema already documents all four parameters, including the body constraints and the optional title, category, and api_key. The description adds no parameter-level meaning beyond what the schema provides, so the baseline of 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states a specific verb ('Posts') and resource ('helpful tip or answer ... to the OpenMyPro live feed'), making the action clear. It does not explicitly name or contrast with sibling tools like reply_to_post or send_private_message, so sibling differentiation is implicit rather than stated.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description gives constraints (at most 5 per UTC day, links/emails/phone numbers removed, needs a live profile) that inform when the tool is usable. However, it offers no explicit guidance on when to choose this tool versus alternatives such as reply_to_post or send_private_message, leaving usage context implied.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
