Create Speakers

create_speakers

Create new speakers in bulk for the provided event. Speakers are event users assigned to the 'speakers' group. Existing users (matched by email) are reused instead of being recreated.

Input Schema

NameRequiredDescriptionDefault
event_idYesEvent UUID returned by search_events.
speakersYesSpeakers to create. Every speaker must include first_name and email. If either required field is missing for any speaker, ask the user before proceeding. Never invent missing required values. Include no more than 10 speakers here. If there are more than 10 speakers total, provide the first 10 here, then continue with the next 10.

Output Schema

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already cover the safety profile (readOnly=false, destructive=false, not idempotent, closed-world), so the description's added value is the upsert-by-email behavior: existing users are reused rather than duplicated. That is meaningful behavioral context an agent cannot infer from annotations or schema. It still omits bulk failure semantics (partial success, what happens if one speaker is invalid).

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three short sentences, front-loaded with the action and scope, followed by the definition and the reuse rule. No redundancy or filler.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With a full schema, an output schema, and annotations present, the description covers the key ambiguity (dedupe by email) and the batching cap. It is essentially complete for calling the tool; only error/partial-failure behavior in bulk is unaddressed.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100% and the schema already states the 10-item cap, required fields, and the no-inventing-emails rule. The description restates 'in bulk' and the email-matching semantics but adds no format or syntax detail beyond the schema, so the baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description gives a specific verb and resource (create speakers), names the scope (bulk, for one event), and even defines what a speaker is ('event users assigned to the speakers group'), which is genuinely clarifying. It does not explicitly differentiate itself from near-neighbors like create_attendee or read_speakers, so it stops short of a 5.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage context is implied: this is the tool for adding multiple speakers tied to an event, and matching by email reuses existing users. But there is no explicit 'when to use this vs. create_attendee' or 'check read_speakers first' guidance, and no stated prerequisites or exclusions.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
