Imports a video FILE from a link (a direct .mp4/.mov/.webm url, not a page that plays it), any size the user's storage allows. Runs in the background: returns a task_id; poll get_task until complete, when generation_id is the clip. density (quick|normal|detailed) also indexes it for search (clips up to 180 s, costs credits). metadata = your own fields (max 4 KB), returned on every read. The same file already in the project is not stored twice: the task completes with the existing clip. Counts against storage. Every clip gets a light 1080p editing copy, made in the background (counts toward storage; none when the file already is 1080p H.264). keep_original:false then drops the uploaded original to save space, but the clip is 1080p from then on; default keeps it.
