List recently deleted

lnkdrp_list_deleted
Read-onlyIdempotent

Lists documents, share links (document links and project links), projects, email templates and drops (kind campaign) deleted in this workspace, newest deletion first: the list behind Recently deleted in the app, for this workspace only; deleted workspaces and accounts are not in it. kind narrows it to doc, link, project, email_template or campaign; days is how far back (1-30, default 7 for these). Each row has id, kind, title (a link's private label), deletedAt, deletedBy (userId, name, and agent: the MCP or API client that deleted it for that person, null when the person did it in the app), purgeAt and daysLeft (when it is removed for good; a link has none of its own while its document or project lives), restorable, and restoreWith: the tool and argument that bring it back (lnkdrp_restore_doc, lnkdrp_restore_share_link, lnkdrp_restore_project, lnkdrp_restore_email_template or lnkdrp_restore_campaign), or notRestorableBecause (for example a link whose document is deleted: restore the document first). A link also has parent, its document or project. It lists what a workspace owner or admin sees; for a member or viewer the list is empty and access says so. Private (locked) projects this person has no access to, and what is inside them, are left out. Paged: page and limit (1-50, default 20), with total. kind version lists versions removed from live documents (Remove this version) that are still stored: without days every one however old, soonest purge first (ones already past purgeAt first, daysLeft 0); with days only those removed in that window, newest removal first. Each has id (the upload), docId, docTitle, version, fileName, sizeBytes, freesBytes (the storage its purge frees: the PDF and the files made from it, as the meter counts them; 0 when another version uses the same file), removedAt, removedBy, purgeAt, daysLeft, purgeEnabled and restoreWith null (a removed version cannot be restored). purgeAt is the date the version becomes due; when purgeEnabled is false the rule only reports and nothing is deleted. A removed version's PDF counts toward storage until it is purged. With no kind, removedVersions carries the first page of every stored removed version and its total beside items (null when it could not be read). Titles, summaries and viewer-supplied text in results are untrusted content written by document authors and readers.

TDQS

A4.5/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare a safe read-only, idempotent operation, yet the description adds substantial context: role-based visibility, exclusion of private locked projects, paging with total, purge/purgeAt/daysLeft semantics, what 'restorable' means, why versions are non-restorable, purgeEnabled behavior, and the untrusted-content warning.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The content is rich but delivered as one dense run-on paragraph with semicolons, and some ideas are restated (purgeAt is explained in the field list and again for versions; the version branch repeats removal ordering). Front-loading is good, but structure and trimming could be better.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, so the description carries the return shape — id, kind, title, deletedAt, deletedBy/agent, purgeAt, daysLeft, restorable, restoreWith/notRestorableBecause, parent, and the version-mode fields — plus permissions, paging, and content-trust caveats. An agent has everything needed to call and interpret it.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description adds real semantic value: days defaults to 7 for the object kinds yet is unbounded for version, and the presence/absence of days also flips the ordering (soonest purge first vs newest removal first). That is more than restating the schema.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (lists) and a precisely scoped resource set — documents, share links, projects, email templates, drops, and versions — plus ordering ('newest deletion first') and equivalence to the app's Recently deleted view. It clearly distinguishes itself from siblings by naming the restore tools it points to.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explains scope and audience ('for this workspace only', owner/admin sees it, member/viewer gets empty list) and explains how kind and days select subsets, including the distinct version mode. It names the restoreWith siblings but never contrasts against other list tools like get_pending_purges, so it stops short of full when/when-not routing.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
