List healthchecks

list_healthchecks
Read-only

Cron/heartbeat healthchecks of the project (jobs that ping Hyperping; monitors are list_monitors, servers list_servers): per healthcheck its hc_ uuid, name, schedule (cron + timezone, or period), grace period, state (down, up, or new = never pinged), paused: true when paused (no alert), last ping, next ping due (up ones; late=true while in its grace period), down_since, and the ongoing hco_ incident if any. Down first, then new, then up. Also returns counts by state. At most 100 rows (truncated flag); filter with status or name.

nameNoCase-insensitive substring of the healthcheck name.

TDQS

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Adds substantial context beyond the readOnlyHint/openWorldHint annotations: field-level return contents (hc_ uuid, schedule, grace, state, last/next ping, late flag, hco_ incident), sort order (down, new, up), a 100-row truncation cap, and state counts. Rich behavioral disclosure.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loads the resource definition and packs the return/ordering/mutation details efficiently. Dense and slightly run-on, but virtually every clause carries actionable information.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description takes on the return-value burden and does so thoroughly (fields, ordering, truncation, counts). Nothing an agent needs to call and interpret this correctly is missing.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so both parameters are fully documented in the schema. The description only restates 'filter with status or name' and adds no syntax or format detail beyond what the schema provides.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb (list) and resource (cron/heartbeat healthchecks) and explicitly disambiguates from siblings: 'monitors are list_monitors, servers list_servers.' An agent can route correctly without opening other schemas.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Explains what healthchecks are versus monitors/servers and notes filtering by status or name. Clear context for when this tool applies, though it stops short of explicit when-not-to-use exclusions or prerequisites.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
