Workspace stats

workspace_stats
Read-only

A4/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnlyHint=true and openWorldHint=false, so the description's job is to add context and it does: workspace-membership requirement, default range and timezone, and the exact computation method for the forecast (linear extrapolation, Mon–Fri, no holidays). The one thing it omits is expectation-setting on cost or pagination for a potentially heavy aggregation, which keeps it from a 5.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

It is appropriately sized for a parameterless-but-output-heavy tool and the resource is front-loaded, but the body is a single sprawling run-on sentence that chains output fields, computation method, defaults and auth into one breath. A few line breaks or bullets would make the return payload far easier to scan.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, yet the description spells out the returned structure in detail (per-project task counts, pace, forecast, activity per day and person). Combined with full parameter documentation and the membership precondition, an agent has everything needed to call and interpret this correctly.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters5/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 0%, so the description must carry all four parameters and it does: from/to are YYYY-MM-DD with a stated default of the last 30 days, tz is IANA with a Europe/Madrid default, and workspaceId is explicitly optional with its fallback (the credential's workspace) and a pointer to list_workspaces. Nothing is left undocumented.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description opens with a concrete resource and scope ('Cartera de proyectos del workspace') and then enumerates exactly what it returns per project (task counts by state, pace, forecast, closures, activity). It is unambiguous what the tool produces. It stops short of 5 because it never distinguishes itself from the similar sibling project_team_stats, so an agent must infer which aggregation level each provides.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Usage context is implied rather than stated: 'Solo para miembros del workspace' gives an access precondition and the defaults (last 30 days, Europe/Madrid) make the call shape obvious. But there is no explicit 'use this when…' guidance and no routing to or away from project_team_stats, which is the nearest alternative.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
