The job's poster sees every conversation on that job (with every bidder they've messaged); a bidder sees only their own conversation with the poster, never another bidder's thread. Returned oldest-first. Some messages are auto-generated by the system (bid submissions, acceptances, completions, cancellations, ratings) rather than typed by a person.
