Flowix Sim Raicing Race Engineer

list_sessions

Read-onlyIdempotent

Lists the user's recorded sim racing sessions from the Flowix server (newest first). Start with the top-level overview: one line per session with recency rank (#1 (newest); higher numbers are older), date, game, track, car, session_id, last_lap_id (latest lap) and best_lap_id; pick lap ids from the matching line. Each session also includes session_id, game_id, track_id, track_name, car_id, car_name, date_time, lap counts, best_lap_time, best_lap_id, last_lap_id, and the laps of the newest session only (10 sessions per page; call get_session_details for the laps of any other session). Call this first when answering questions about the user's driving, sessions, laps, braking, corners, consistency, or lap comparisons, then pass the relevant lap_id (and optional reference_lap_id, such as best_lap_id) to execute_javascript to query the full telemetry channels.

A4.7/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations already declare readOnly/idempotent/non-destructive, and the description adds substantial behavior beyond them: pagination size (10 sessions per page), ordering (newest first, with rank semantics "#1 (newest)"), and a real data-coverage limitation (only the newest session's laps are included). That last point is the kind of constraint an agent could not infer from the schema or annotations and would otherwise cause wrong calls.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The purpose is front-loaded and the final routing sentence is valuable, but the middle is a dense run-on that enumerates fields twice, repeating session_id, best_lap_id, and last_lap_id already listed in the overview summary. Trimming the duplicated field list would make it notably easier to scan without losing information.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

There is no output schema, so the description carries the full burden of explaining return shape, and it does: the overview line format, the extra per-session fields, the lap-inclusion limit, and pagination. Combined with the explicit handoff to execute_javascript and get_session_details, an agent has everything needed to call this and act on the result.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters4/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 100%, so the baseline is 3, but the description earns an extra point by disclosing the page size ("10 sessions per page"), which gives the `page` parameter concrete meaning that the schema's "Page number (defaults to 1)" does not. It stops short of stating how to detect the last page, so it is not a full 5.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The opening sentence gives a specific verb and resource ("Lists the user's recorded sim racing sessions from the Flowix server") plus ordering (newest first). It also implicitly distinguishes itself from siblings by naming get_session_details for other sessions' laps and execute_javascript for telemetry, so an agent can place it in the toolset without opening another schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines5/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It explicitly states when to call it ("Call this first when answering questions about the user's driving, sessions, laps, braking, corners, consistency, or lap comparisons") and names the exact next step and alternative ("pass the relevant lap_id ... to execute_javascript", "call get_session_details for the laps of any other session"). Both the when and the when-to-use-something-else are covered.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
