Add a load combination
add_load_combinationRead-only
Add ONE factored load combination — a weighted sum of load cases at a given limit state. This is what the solver designs against: unity checks envelope over COMBINATIONS, never over raw load cases, so a load case no combination references is invisible to every check. ALWAYS set limit_state: it is the only field of a combination the solver reads, and leaving it null makes every SLS deflection check return an empty result that reads as a pass. Free.
Input Schema
TableJSON Schema
| Name | Required | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| name | Yes | e.g. "ULS 6.10 - leading Snow". results.loadcombinations is keyed by this. | |
| check | No | Report metadata only. Defaults to "ALL". | |
| model | No | Stringified FERS model JSON | |
| factors | Yes | Load case ids to partial factors: {"1": 1.35, "2": 1.5} or [{"load_case_id":1,"factor":1.35}]. Negative factors are legal (uplift / favourable). | |
| model_ref | No | Handle from stash_model, used INSTEAD of `model`. Avoids sending the whole document on every step; the tool returns the same handle back. | |
| situation | No | Report metadata only; the solver never reads it. | |
| limit_state | No | ULS | SLS | FLS | ALS (case-sensitive). Strongly recommended — see the tool description. |
