DJfindr

Get a link to cancel a paid booking

get_cancel_link

Get a link to cancel a paid booking. Needs bookings:write. Answers a link for the person to open on DJfindr, signed in as themselves; the act happens only there. Give them the url as it is and do not open it or pass it to anyone. Asking again replaces the link given before. get_link says whether it was used.

TDQS

A4.3/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Beyond the annotations it discloses the key behavioral facts: the returned url must be handed to the person verbatim and must not be opened or forwarded by the agent, the actual cancellation happens only on DJfindr while signed in as that person, and requesting again replaces the previously issued link. That last point gives concrete meaning to idempotentHint=false, and the 'act happens only there' line correctly explains why destructiveHint=false despite the word 'cancel'.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Five short sentences, front-loaded with purpose then permission then handling rules, with zero filler. The imperative handling instructions are easy for an agent to follow verbatim.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description correctly explains what is returned (a url) and how to handle it, plus link-replacement and verification behavior. The remaining gap is failure semantics: it does not say what happens if the proposal is not a paid booking, is already cancelled, or if the id is unknown.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters2/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

There is one required parameter, proposal_id, with 0% schema description coverage and no mention anywhere in the description. The agent must guess that the identifier refers to a booking proposal rather than a booking, payment or offer id, which is a real risk given the many id-like resources in the sibling set.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The first sentence states a specific verb and resource (get a link) plus the exact scope (to cancel a paid booking), which separates it from the many other link siblings such as get_pay_link, get_refund_link, get_checkout_link and get_link. It even names get_link as the tool that reports whether the link was used, so an agent can route without opening a schema.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It states the precondition (needs `bookings:write`) and the follow-up path (use get_link to check whether the link was used), which is real routing guidance. It does not explicitly say when NOT to use it versus get_pay_link or get_refund_link, but the 'paid booking' scoping makes the alternative cases inferable.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
