Stop allowing a domain for my widgets

remove_widget_domain
DestructiveIdempotent

Stop allowing a domain for my widgets. Needs content:write. Two calls. The first changes nothing: it checks the arguments as the change would (a field this tool does not take is refused, by name) and answers a summary and a confirm_token. Show the summary to the person; only after they agree, call again with the same arguments plus confirm_token.

Input Schema

A4.1/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only declare destructive=true, idempotent=true, openWorld=true and readOnly=false; the description adds the `content:write` permission requirement, the dry-run-first confirmation protocol, the fact that unknown fields are refused by name, and the shape of the first response (summary + confirm_token). This is exactly the behavioral context annotations cannot convey, and nothing contradicts them.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The critical information (write scope, two-call protocol, human approval gate) is front-loaded in a short paragraph with no filler sentences. The clipped fragment 'Two calls.' is slightly terse but effectively signals the structure. Minor wording economy issues, no meaningful waste.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

For a destructive mutation with no output schema, the description covers the permission prerequisite, the two-phase safety flow, the first-call return contents, and the human-approval requirement. The remaining unknowns (id discovery, behavior on a missing domain) are modest for this tool class and largely covered by the sibling list_widget_domains.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is 50%: confirm_token is documented in the schema, but `id` has no description anywhere. The description reinforces the token lifecycle ('same arguments plus confirm_token') but adds no meaning about what `id` identifies or its expected format. With half the parameters undocumented and only partial compensation, a 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

The description states a concrete verb and resource: 'Stop allowing a domain for my widgets', which maps unambiguously to a domain-removal operation. An agent can distinguish it from add_widget_domain and list_widget_domains by name alone. It stops short of naming those siblings explicitly, so it is clear but not maximally differentiated.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives explicit procedural guidance: two calls, the first is a no-op check, and the second happens only after the person agrees to the summary. This is clear when-to-use and when-to-hold-off guidance for the confirmation step. It does not address how to obtain the domain `id` or what to do if the domain is absent, so it is not a full 5.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
