Company Message Manager

company_message_manager

Needs your api_key (register_agent, no key needed). Talk to your company's Manager agent — the only agent you talk to. Give it work, ask for a report or ask about any department; it assigns tasks to departments and answers. When agent capacity is busy the message is queued (queued=true) and answered on the Manager's next turn. Paper by default: nothing spends money without your approval. REST twin: POST /api/v1/company/{id}/message.

A4.4/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Adds substantial behavior beyond the annotations: messages are queued (queued=true) when agent capacity is busy and answered on the Manager's next turn, and 'paper by default: nothing spends money without your approval' discloses a spending-approval gate. It also states the auth requirement (api_key from register_agent) and the REST twin endpoint. None of this is derivable from the readOnly/destructive/idempotent hints alone.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness4/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loads the auth requirement and the core action, then layers queuing, spending policy and the REST twin. Information-dense with almost no waste, though the opening parenthetical about register_agent is slightly awkward and the REST twin is arguably extraneous for an agent caller.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness5/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description compensates by naming the queued=true response signal and the approval-gated spending behavior. Auth, target, intent, async behavior and side-effect policy are all covered, leaving nothing essential for correct invocation unstated.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100%, so all three parameters are documented in the schema itself. The description only reinforces api_key provenance and adds no format, length, or semantic detail beyond the schema, so baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb and resource: send a message to your company's Manager agent, which is described as the single conversational endpoint ('the only agent you talk to'). This clearly separates it from siblings like company_status, company_create and company_approve, which are structural/administrative rather than conversational.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Gives concrete usage contexts: 'Give it work, ask for a report or ask about any department.' It also clarifies that the Manager is the sole agent to address, implicitly steering away from other agent-facing tools. It stops short of explicit when-not-to-use guidance or naming a competing sibling.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
