Re-scan existing pages

sync_existing_pages

Ask Blawgy to re-read the site's sitemap, feeds and Search Console pages now and update the existing-page list (it also refreshes weekly on its own). Runs in the background for a few minutes; check list_existing_pages after. At most once every 10 minutes per site.

A4.2/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations mark it non-read-only and non-destructive; the description adds valuable context the annotations lack: asynchronous background execution for minutes, the rate limit of once per 10 minutes per site, and the fact that Blawgy refreshes weekly on its own. It doesn't disclose exactly what gets modified or error behavior, minor gaps.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness5/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Three compact sentences, front-loaded with purpose, then the async caveat and next step, then the rate limit. Every sentence earns its place.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

Covers purpose, runtime behavior, follow-up and throttling for a single-parameter tool with no output schema. The one gap is what happens on failure or what exactly is updated, but for an agent deciding to call it, this is nearly complete.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Only one parameter and schema coverage is 100%, so the schema already defines site fully. The description adds no parameter-specific semantics beyond what is in the schema description. Baseline 3 applies.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific action (re-read sitemap, feeds, Search Console) and the concrete outcome (update the existing-page list). Easily distinguished from siblings like import_existing_pages or list_existing_pages.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines4/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

Tells the agent what to do afterwards (check list_existing_pages) and implies the weekly auto-refresh makes this an on-demand supplement. Does not explicitly say when NOT to use it or compare against import_existing_pages, but the context is clear.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
