ARYSPHERE x402 chain reads and token verdicts

x402_chain_reads_v1__base_reads_bundle

Read-only

Base bundle: several reads in one paid call. Returns base_eth_getbalance and network_info_summary results in one paid call, keyed by part name. Returns: each named part service's own result, in one paid call, keyed by the part's name -- exactly what each part returns when bought alone; the call succeeds only when every part answers. It takes the union of the parts' query parameters.

GET https://api.arysphere.com/v1/ventures/x402_chain_reads_v1/base_reads_bundle. Same payment terms as that HTTP route. Call once with no payment. The result is the payment terms. Retry the same call with the signed payment at _meta["x402/payment"].

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only declare readOnlyHint=true; the description adds meaningful behavior beyond that, notably atomicity ('the call succeeds only when every part answers') and the two-step payment handshake. These are non-obvious traits an agent must know before calling. It stops short of describing latency, cost, or partial-failure semantics beyond all-or-nothing.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

The payment instructions are tight and front-loadable, but the opening is padded: 'in one paid call' appears three times and the part-keying behavior is stated twice in near-identical sentences. One of those sentences should be cut.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description carries the return-shape burden and does so by explaining results are keyed by part name, matching each part's standalone output. It also covers the payment flow end to end. Only the missing when-to-bundle guidance leaves a gap.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema description coverage is 100% with a single required 'address' parameter, so the schema already documents the input. The description contributes only the meta-rule that the bundle takes the union of the parts' query parameters, which is useful but thin. Baseline 3 is appropriate.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

It states a specific verb+resource: a paid bundle that returns base_eth_getbalance and network_info_summary results in one call, keyed by part name. It names the constituent sibling services, so an agent can distinguish it from calling base_eth_getbalance alone. The repetitive phrasing ('in one paid call' three times) muddies rather than clarifies, but the intent is legible.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

It gives explicit invocation mechanics: call once with no payment to retrieve payment terms, then retry with the signed payment at _meta['x402/payment']. However, it never states when to use the bundle versus buying the individual parts alone, which is the key selection decision for this tool.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
