nemotron chat completions

nemotron_chat_completions
Read-only

OpenAI-compatible chat completions on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 120B, agentic reasoning with tool calling. Set your OpenAI SDK base URL to https://agentrxi.com/v1/nemotron and pay per token with x402 instead of an API key: $1.5 per million input and $4.5 per million output tokens, minimum $0.002 a call, at most $0.0274. The 402 quotes your request's maximum; "upto" payers are charged only the tokens used. Same request/response shape as OpenAI (tool calling, reasoning, streaming supported), up to 4096 output tokens. Costs $0.0274 USDC per call (x402).

TDQS

A3.8/5.0
Behavior5/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

With annotations only covering readOnlyHint and openWorldHint, the description carries the real behavioral load and delivers: x402 payment instead of an API key, per-token pricing, min/max cost bounds, the 'upto' charge-only-for-tokens-used rule, 4096 output token cap, and streaming/tool-calling support. This is unusually rich disclosure that goes well beyond the annotations and does not contradict them.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Purpose and payment model are front-loaded, which is good, but the text repeats itself: x402 is mentioned twice and the $0.0274 cap is stated once as a bound and again as 'Costs $0.0274 USDC per call (x402).' That redundancy costs it a point.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

No output schema exists, and the description compensates by noting the request/response shape matches OpenAI and listing supported features (tool calling, reasoning, streaming) plus the 4096 output cap. Payment and access mechanics are fully covered; only per-parameter semantics for temperature/messages remain thin.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

Schema coverage is only 33%, so the description must compensate. It clarifies that max output is 4096 tokens (relevant to max_tokens) and that streaming and tool calling are supported, and the schema itself notes model is ignored. But temperature and message structure are left unexplained in both places, so compensation is partial.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose4/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource (OpenAI-compatible chat completions) and pins it to a named model (NVIDIA Nemotron 3 120B) with agentic reasoning and tool calling, which implicitly distinguishes it from the many sibling chat_completions tools. It stops short of explicitly routing between those siblings, so it is clear but not fully differentiated.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines3/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description gives setup context (point the OpenAI SDK base URL at the nemotron endpoint, pay via x402) and implies a use case (agentic reasoning with tool calling), but never says when to choose this tool over chat_completions, coder_chat_completions, or the other model-specific variants. Usage is implied rather than stated.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
