llama4 chat completions

llama4_chat_completions
Read-only

OpenAI-compatible chat completions on Meta Llama 4 Scout, multimodal (image input) with tool calling. Set your OpenAI SDK base URL to https://agentrxi.com/v1/llama4 and pay per token with x402 instead of an API key: $0.81 per million input and $2.55 per million output tokens, minimum $0.002 a call, at most $0.0145. The 402 quotes your request's maximum; "upto" payers are charged only the tokens used. Same request/response shape as OpenAI (tool calling, image input, streaming supported), up to 2048 output tokens. Costs $0.0145 USDC per call (x402).

A3.6/5.0
Behavior4/5

Does the description disclose side effects, auth requirements, rate limits, or destructive behavior?

Annotations only declare readOnlyHint/openWorldHint, yet the description discloses substantial behavior: x402 pay-per-token pricing ($0.81/M in, $2.55/M out), a $0.002 floor and $0.0145 ceiling, how the 402 quote behaves for 'upto' payers, and a 2048 output-token cap. It even spills over cost details into the notes rather than relying on annotations.

Agents need to know what a tool does to the world before calling it. Descriptions should go beyond structured annotations to explain consequences.

Conciseness3/5

Is the description appropriately sized, front-loaded, and free of redundancy?

Front-loaded with the core identity, which is good, but it is bloated with pricing minutiae and repeats itself — the $0.0145 figure appears three times and the cost line duplicates the earlier ceiling statement. The integration mechanics crowd out the operational guidance an agent actually needs.

Shorter descriptions cost fewer tokens and are easier for agents to parse. Every sentence should earn its place.

Completeness4/5

Given the tool's complexity, does the description cover enough for an agent to succeed on first attempt?

With no output schema, the description usefully states the response shares OpenAI's shape and documents streaming, tool calling, and output limits. The x402 payment flow is explained well enough to invoke. Gaps remain around failure modes and rate limiting, but the tool is largely callable from this description.

Complex tools with many parameters or behaviors need more documentation. Simple tools need less. This dimension scales expectations accordingly.

Parameters3/5

Does the description clarify parameter syntax, constraints, interactions, or defaults beyond what the schema provides?

With only 33% schema coverage on 6 params, the description must compensate and partly does: it clarifies that model is fixed/ignored, that tools means OpenAI function tools, that streaming is supported, and that image input is accepted via messages. However it says nothing about temperature or the semantics/default of max_tokens beyond the 2048 cap, leaving half the parameters underspecified.

Input schemas describe structure but not intent. Descriptions should explain non-obvious parameter relationships and valid value ranges.

Purpose5/5

Does the description clearly state what the tool does and how it differs from similar tools?

States a specific verb+resource (chat completions), names the exact model (Meta Llama 4 Scout), and enumerates capabilities (multimodal image input, tool calling, streaming). In a family of dozens of per-model *_chat_completions siblings, naming the model is precisely what differentiates this tool.

Agents choose between tools based on descriptions. A clear purpose with a specific verb and resource helps agents select the right tool.

Usage Guidelines2/5

Does the description explain when to use this tool, when not to, or what alternatives exist?

The description explains how to integrate (set base URL, pay via x402) but never says when to choose this over the many sibling chat_completions tools or what use cases favor Llama 4 Scout. An agent gets invocation mechanics but no selection criteria.

Agents often have multiple tools that could apply. Explicit usage guidance like "use X instead of Y when Z" prevents misuse.
